Can you believe it’s already been a year since the launch of the Mighty No. 9 project? At PAX Prime last August we launched our Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter, and asked you all to help us make our dreams (and hopefully yours!) come true!

 

Here we are today, still in awe at your support, generosity and feedback. To show you how much your support means to us, we’ve decided to give the 9th month of the year a Mighty makeover!

There’s so much going on this month that there’s no time to waste. Let’s dive right in!

 

 

At his Mighty Chat PAX Prime panel, our main man Keiji Inafune just announced the start of the Mighty No. 9 beta testing! Beta-level backers should be receiving their beta code in the next 24 hours, so stay tuned!

 

 

If you’ve been paying attention to Azure Striker Gunvolt lately, you’ll have heard of Mighty Gunvolt, the retro crossover platformer title free to those who purchase Gunvolt. We’re happy to say Inti Creates offered to give out a copy of Mighty Gunvolt to all of our Mighty No. 9 backers, too! As always, it should take a few days to get the download codes out to everyone, so please give us some time!
 


On the Mighty Forums, come check out the Mighty Month Trivia Thread for a daily dose of all things Mighty No. 9, from development quirks to novel tidbits about the Mighty dev team, even some never-before-seen art! Who knows what else’s in store!?

Yeah I emailed Comcept, and they came back to me with a Mighty Gunvault key and I'm not even in North America (or whatver non-Australian region it's for) ._.

You may have just not received it. I've been checking my junk folder religiously, and I still haven't seen any trace of the beta key.
It would have been so much easier if they had sent the keys to the message boxes here on this forum. :-/

In any case, just send them an email with your Mighty Number and donation level explaining that you still haven't received it. They should get back to you.

I can't believe it to be honest and just remembered that there would be a forum and stuff just recently. Mighty Gunvolt is awesome; Got my code yesterday and I beat it with all characters and will continue playing to get a better score and stuff. Smile

A little bit with the beta

Beta has a very fluid feel once you start getting use to the controls, although I would like to see someplace where we can post about problems and bugs. So far I have had one crash after losing all my lives and restarting. Happened a few seconds in the first stage but thats been the only issue. Great job with the beta though.

I just wanted to tell you that this game is Beautiful even if it's not finished yet, I'm so excited to see what else we will get. But for now I will say that I had some tears in my eyes since I saw the main menu, thank you comcept for giving us a game as good as those of the old days.

Beta not launching

I am using XP. I entered the code on Steam, downloaded the game. But when I launch it, it just pops up the window from steam saying its launching and then disappears and does nothing. 

Any help?

I found the solution on the boards, but for any readers here: 

MOD EDIT: Users have informed of various ways to fix this:
* Install the directX redistributable package that can be found on the following folder:
<Steam installation directory>/SteamApps/common/Mighty No. 9/Binaries/Redist

​* Install Microsoft .net framework 4.5

* Check the steam cache integrity: 
* * On steam, right click on the game
* * Click on properties
* * go to the Local Files tab
* * click "verify integrity of game cache"
** Wait for it to finish.
