Reward Update: Get in Gear!

It’s a June déjà vu, Mighties,

As we plunge into our second Mighty Summer! This time last year we were still knee-deep in development, with No. 2’s stage and the Patch survey well underway. This time around we focus more on rewards than development, with a hint at a special Becker bonus and the opening of our official console selection surveys!

WHO’S THAT BECK??

We get a lot of questions about the special in-game transformation exclusive to certain backer levels. Well it’s all ready to go, and we’d LOVE to show it… but at the same time, we don’t want to deprive our Beckers of the joy of discovering it for themselves. That’s why we opted for a bit of a compromise:

We’re proud to present… ...actually, what the heck is that!?

We know a silhouette isn’t much to go on, but why not get those gears turning and try to figure out what this new transformation is all about?

What new power does this bring to the table? How will it change up Mighty No. 9? What the heck is that thing on Beck’s head?? You can be sure it’ll add an interesting gameplay twist for our few lucky Beckers. We’d love to hear your ideas in fan-art form, forum comments, whatever! Go on, go nuts!

Oh, but don’t go flexing all your mental muscle towards this just yet, Mighties. You have a pretty big decision ahead of you...

BACKER CONSOLE SURVEYS ARE GO!!

That’s right, it’s time to for the console(s) of your choice! We’re lucky to have help from our friends at Humble Bundle on this one; they’ll be sending out surveys to all of our backers next week!

Some important details for this survey:

1) Official Platform Selection Surveys will be open until July15th, 2015.

2) We will make available all current information we have regarding each platform version of Mighty No. 9, to be updated as more details are set in stone.

3) To accommodate any backers who may change platforms as time goes on--due to new console-specific information, console purchases, etc.--backers will be able to change their platform selection(s) up until the survey deadline.

Many of you have been asking for details about each console, and we apologize for our radio silence. We had to make a decision about how much info we were putting out and where, which ended up taking longer than we expected. Here’s all the info we have so far:

Miiverse clarification?

I think it would be wise to clarify if "Miiverse: NO" means "no in-game functionality", or "no Miiverse Community whatsoever". I can totally accept nothing in-game, but I think a Miiverse Community should be mandatory in the Wii U version.

Looking forward to playing, and excited to see the Backer-exclusive transformation. :)

Ooh. Better start to really

Ooh. Better start to really think on which platform to go with. So many of them! Surprised

...be ready

So its eather PC or 3DS version, id like something to see if my PC could run it cause it looks to be really close. A demo or a system check service like Can You Run It could work.

Question: can the 3DS version play Co-Op with other 3DSs, it looks not to be so but asking just in case if you have another way of doing it.

No Miiverse support...?

I backed this game a decent amount, and I'm still excited to play it. However I feel that no Miiverse support for Wii U is inexcusable. Make each version of the game complete before you talk about a cartoon series and DLC please. -_-

That's how it is right now, but I hope Miiverse support is integrated as soon as possible.

As has been said I don't know

As has been said I don't know how many tiems the cartoon is not by Comcept. They just gave the Okay to the guys taht asked if they could make it. none of Comcepts time or money is doing into the series. As for the DLC it's really just the inclusion of an extra stage that they only really thought of after the campaign was over.

I think they mean something else.

I think for Miiverse support they mean stuff like "You beat a level, want to post that on Miiverse?" Or "Post a Miiverse Message in the stage for your friends to see!". And that will not be supported.

But the Mighty No. 9 Miiverse itself would still be there. So you can still do screen shots or drawings or posts. I'm not sure on it but I'm very positive that's what they mean.

Wii U Expectations

Cool I will take the Wii U Version. Sad that there isn't a Miiverse integration, but it is not the end of the world. I hope they made a full use of the Gamepad at least. Some functions like changing weapons faster, with touch screen or off-screen play would be nice. Amiibo support would be wonderfull. I would love to have a Beck Statue on my desk. I was a bit desapointed with the way the art direction went in the official trailer, but I believe the overall thing will be great. Veeee

CPU problems

I know I have kind of outdated technology, but it will be only available for 64 bits computers? that's a shame, I will need to play on a friend's house my own game :/
Mighty No. 49595's picture

If you don't have 64 bit OS,

If you don't have 64 bit OS, you probably don't have the minimum Ram requirements anyways though. You might want to check that out.
Mighty No. 71397's picture

Actually, I have a notebook

Actually, I have a notebook with a 32 bits Intel Core i5 (2.30GHz × 4 ) proccesor with 4 GB of RAM. Probably one of the last generation of 32 bits personal computers.
Mighty No. 49595's picture

32 OS and 4gb Ram

Unless there's some kind of exception. From what I recall,  32-bit OS can't completely utilize 4gb of ram. So even if you have 4gb of ram, it should read as 3GB or 3.5GB on a 32bit OS

Looks neat.

Alas, I wasn't one of the lucky!

This almost certainly looks like a very Xel-themed Beck, who I assume will switch things up by attacking enemies via simply ramming into them, little to no ranged capability, and take increased damage from all ranged attacks as an "extreme" take on the whole xel absorption mechanic.

I'd have loved to play with that, if it ends up something like this.

Cross-buy!

I am very happy to see that the PS Vita, PS3 and PS4 versions are all cross-buy! I am, however, sad to see that the Wii U version won't have Miiverse support. Oh well, at least those two facts definitely make the decision a lot easier for me!
