COMMUNI-DAY: The Beckers show their Support!

Dearest Beckers, Mighties and Inafunatics,
E3 madness came and went, and with it some of the most exciting announcements in the mainstream gaming world! Speaking of which, how about Beck's surprise appearance in the ID@Xbox montage? :D Did anyone catch it?
Let’s keep the Mighty madness going with another jam-packed Communi-day!
Let’s get this party started with this month's selection of incredible Mighty fan art!

AUDIO/VIDEO CLUB

Talk about fast! The unnamed track on our gameplay video has already been masterfully remixed:
This awesome Mighty fan shows off this work-in-progress 3D Beck model!
Now I wanted to take a moment and end with some real talk: every month I wonder if we’ll really have enough (or any!) fanart for these updates. But month after month, without fail, I am happily proven wrong and generously reassured by the wonderful Mighty Community. Thanks for always supporting us, Mighties! You've dash-sorbed the little xels of my heart!
And speaking of support…

SUPPORT CHARACTER SURVEY RESULTS!

Imaeda: Hi Mighty Beckers, Director Koji Imaeda here! Our Support Character Survey ended with a whopping 14,333 votes(!), and we’re finally ready to reveal the results!

WHAT'S IN A NAME

As a reminder, we chose six names from the multitude of choices we received from you all: Res-Po, Plug, Plugin, Patch and Parxel. We’re excited to present the top 3!
At No. 3: Plugin!
Plugin was a favorite among the Beckers—even our very own Community Manager Dina thought it was adorable!—which earned it a third place finish. Next up…
At No. 2: Plug!!
This to-the-point entry embodied the character’s unique head piece, and many of you appreciated it! In all honesty, I actually thought this one would take the checkered flag. And now, the one you’ve been waiting for…
And at No. 1, the winner is… Patch!!
For a character that doles out xel to heal injured robots, this name really fits the bill. From now on, you can call our support character Patch!
Each of the six entries actually garnered a good amount of votes, so it was a pretty close race! No matter what you chose, we hope that all of you out there warm up to the name that took command and outshone the others: Patch!

PAINT WITH ALL THE COLORS OF THE WINNER

With the help of our good friends at Inti Creates, we were able to choose three entries for the coloring side of the contest: the Backer Version, the comcept Version, and the Inti Creates Version.* Which of the eight choices below made the cut? Let’s find out, starting with the Backer Version!

The top pick on the survey, and the official Backer Version is…

No. 3, by Mighty No. 66960 BenjiK!!

In the end, the Beckers decided on a bright blue finish inlaid with orange trim! This design might actually suit Beck’s coloring the most. Next!
The comcept Version is…

No. 7, by Mighty No. 17573 Ash!!

To explain our selection, we turn to the comcept designer you all know and love, KIMO KIMO!
KIMO KIMO: This character is the product of SANDA Technology; with that in mind, we chose a color scheme that people would be well-acquainted with… in other words, the coloring that seemed closest to that of your everyday electrical appliance! Looking at it from that perspective, it’s easy to see this design in someone’s living room or kitchen, huh?
Finally, last but not least… The Inti Creates Version is…

No. 1, by Mighty No. 66465 nalyx!!

For this one we called upon Inti Creates member and Call’s designer Yuuji Natsume for comment!

Natsume: When we were checking the 3D model for the support character, the character seemed to float on the screen in a weird way without any color. Because of that, we actually gave it a temporary red finish! After that we tried applying several different colors, but no matter how we looked at it this color had the best on-screen presence. So red it is!
Imaeda: So did your name/color of choice take the brass ring? Even if your vote didn’t push your choice into the winner’s circle, every single one of you that participated have been a massive help to us on the development team! Please show us the same energy and enthusiasm in the next event! (Speaking of which, better start getting to work on that!)
You heard the man! Be it the survey results or this month’s fan art, let your your voice be heard on  TwitterFacebook, the comments here, we check them all!
See you back here on the 29th! ( ̄^ ̄)ゞ
-Dina (Mighty No. 1046), Koji Imaeda (Mighty No. 610), Mark (Mighty No. 84), and the Mighty No. 9 Team
*Just a friendly reminder: like we said at the start of the survey, the three chosen color schemes will not simply be used as-is, but adjusted for a sense of uniformity between them, and to match-up with the game world.

Skins

What if the top picks (2nd, 3rd place) were to be included in the game as alternate skin unlocks? Everyone loves unlockable content.
