Mighty Beckers, assemble!

NEW BETA LEVEL: MIGHTY NO. 3!

Beta Beckers: you’ve conquered the armies of No. 5’s military base and slid through the chilling paths of No. 2’s watery lair. Now get ready for your biggest challenge yet, as the beta is updated with its third (and final) stage: a power plant run amok, featuring the electrifying Mighty No. 3!

If you thought Mighty No. 9 was hard before, get ready to send controllers flying as you navigate all the pitfalls of this fan-favorite boss’ shocking stage!

As always, please send any and all feedback to mightyno9@comcept.jp, subject line “Beta Feedback”. Otherwise, we hope you enjoy the new content!

And speaking of new content...

YOUR “VOICE” HAS BEEN HEARD!

We’ve been seeing great discussions all over our forums, twitter feed and Facebook for the past week, all focused on a single burning question: English or Japanese? Which language will all the voice acting be in for Mighty No. 9?!

The response has been amazing: over 20,000 of you weighed in with your choice over the last few days, and now we’re finally back with your decision:

Mighty No. 9 will include English voice acting!

You might be thinking “Well DUH! Of course it’s English -- the largest majority of Mighty No. 9 backers speak English!” And sure, you’d be right, but you’d be surprised how close the vote was -- less than 1,000 votes separated the two choices, from the start right down to the end!

So a HUGE thanks to ALL of you for helping us make Mighty No. 9 a better game, with special thanks to our slacker backers and beckers who upped their reward tiers, since it’s their purchases that will make this bonus content possible and guarantees it for all our backers! You guys & gals are the best! ( ̄^ ̄)ゞ

And for anyone else still considering slacker backing, keep an eye out for our next extra bonus content possibility! We’ll have more details soon...speaking of which...

...What’s this?

...Hmmm, wonder what that was all about? :) Until next update!

Disappointing.

Huh, I guess I'll just have to mute the voice acting then...

Unless of course the Japanese voice acting gets funded too, or maybe I hear exceptionally good things about the English dubs for this game. (Although I don't see the latter happening.)

Im surprise that the English

Im surprise that the English voice won over the Japanese, its cool but at sametime im kinda dissapointed that the game will only have one option sort of speak. but nevertheless congrats to the winners.

As for the video, It was about time they showed Mighty # 0. I mean, he was like kinda to be expected honestly but still about time of his inclusion to be announce. For the looks of it Inafune wants to included Zero in it, so does this mean that as soon that Mighty #0 becomes a playable charcater will he replace  or shift the focal point of the story to him and not beck? like what Inafune did to MMX series. wll this is his game now so i guess he can do that....

O_O

Wow, I'm actually suprised English voice won (since I chose it) over Japanese but I love both English and Japanese voices as a whole and hated to choose one over the other.

The DLC is....there's no words I can't express. That was Mighty No. 0?! I thought he was going look different but he looks like...a haunting version of Zero mixed with Battle Network's Bass with a face of Majora's Mask on his chest GURREN LAGANN STYLE!!! Surprised

If that's not creepy cool, I don't know what is. Comcept, you have outdone yourself! YesYes

As for the Beta, I looking forward to it! Cool

DLC

guys just because it's DLC it does not mean it is paid DLC, Sonic Lost World had DLC and it was free. DLC doesn't instantly mean priced DLC, it just means DLC.
Mighty No. 17628 Dio Lerma's picture

is this for REAL?

i dont know why people choose ENGLISH for voice, do you all remember the voice of beck on the tv series trailer? WELLLL guess what? that awful little dicky voice will be in the game congrats to all that spoiled the game on the voice deparment.

another complain they should not put dlc before the game releases it feels cheap, its like the evil within why announce the DLC its supposed to add game content after the game release and its gonna be programed after if they announced already this then theyu will make it and then sell you a 1kb unlcok for the DLC already on the game.

>_>

It's too early to judge whether the game's English voice acting will be bad or not. Plus, as for the DLC, it might be free DLC for the game so stop jumping the gun please.

I was hoping for a Mighty No.

I was hoping for a Mighty No. 0 to show up in the game. As its name suggests, it must be a prototype of the original Mighty Numbers that left his creator to live out its own life. Reminds me of a certain other prototype we all know and love than did the same thing. As for the game being in English, I was hoping that was going to happen and it did. People who were trying to have the game in Japanese probably don't know how to speak the language and thinks that since this game is made in Japan, it should be in Japanese language which pretty redundant. That's like saying all Kingdom Hearts games that were released outside of Japan should be Japanese language only. I know that there were some games that were released outside of Japan that was still in Japanese language but had English dialog, which is fine and of games that had both languages. But for now, lets just go this the game being in English and see how how it will turn out. It might not be as bad as people may think it is. Yopu got to look for the good and the bad and not just the bad or else that's narrow minded thinking.

Also, I know English voice acting can get bad sometime but the same rule can also apply to Japanese voice acting as well. Plus it's too early to judge whether the game in English will be good bad, we'll just have to wait and see.

I'm actually kind of

I'm actually kind of surprised English managed to win. I'm not surprised at how many people are angry about this though. Me personally? I voted for English, as that's the only language I speak fluently.

That DLC looks pretty cool though. And it's gonna be free to all backers? Hope we end up getting that.

I have to say I'm a little

I have to say I'm a little disappointed they'd announce this. I understand they want to build up hype and get people donating again, but after the "Dina" incidents, people just don't want to donate anymore. Which is really disappointing considering how cool this looks.

You're not seriously saying

You're not seriously saying that a kickstarted game is going to have the final boss as DLC are you? That would be the worst. "Oh, remember how you funded an indie title promising we're not like the greedy publishers. SURPRISE!". Please don't seriously say that the final mighty no 0 amalgam boss isn't budgeted for, so now you have to 'strech goal' it... please?

OMG! MN.0

He looks like bass+zero+madness cool! Is he gonna be playable? And too bad japanese voice didnt win I hope another chance for japanese voice actor
Mighty No. 42675 Daikuza's picture

I speak English,Japanese

I speak English,Japanese,German and Spanish and I could never understand why people wants to play/watch English voice acting...

Thats so inauthentic and ridicilous bad "ÄLL Räght läts dooo diiis" "heheyeaah comeon blablabla".... I hope we can turn off the voices or  I'm really, really pissed.

Mighty No. 71472 Elfeibian's picture

No jap voice? :/

Well this let my hopes down, I was expecting japanese voices, I mean they have subtitles in english and also adding english voice its just to be lazy and dont read, I prefered cool voices more according to each situation that beck would be into. I mean all of the japanese games with English dubs have the worst voices and you can't feel any passion on them, It feels like, meh give me the script, blah blah, blah, pay me and cya.  At least I hope that they let you turn off the voices in case they (and probably will) suck.
On the other hand ofc that I will download the DLC I want to see Zero Heart upps.... I mean Mighty No. 0 Wink
Mighty No. 54256 Josh's picture

Give it a fair chance

I feel that English voice actors, when chosen correctly, are just as good as any other languages voice actors. Anyone who I discus this with is always on the side of japanese voices, when none of them actually speak the language, if you look it up on google you'll find that people in japan often find video game voices or anime voices crappy, in their own language.
And besides that wouldnt you rather be able to hear the dialoge while playing insted of stoping in place to read subtitles? Its fine durring a show or a cutsene but durring constant gameplay, its terrible.
Frustrated
Mighty No. 17823 InaHoney-san's picture

It's releasing in Japan as

It's releasing in Japan as well. You think the devs wouldn't design around reading subtitles during gameplay for the Japanese audience?
Mighty No. 54256 Josh's picture

Design around gameplay?

If its anyway like it was in the beta, then no. I'm sure it will still be there
