KIMOKIMO CUP Feedback!

Hey Mighties,

Are you enjoying the special demo we released!?

This is coming a little bit later than we hoped, but we have put together the feedback

regarding the KIMOKIMO CUP parts 5-7 in one update for you to check out!

Just like last time, we had Inafune pick one design that he believed was a great

idea or theme but needed just a little bit of work or adjustment.

We also had him pick one that he felt was the best design out of the lot!
We will be showing those in a later update!

After sharing the images with Inafune he picked out a selection that we would print out

and look over during a meeting. You could tell he really enjoyed seeing all these

unique designs! A lot of times we would sit there discussing the theme and how it relates to the country.

This oftentimes led to some very interesting discussions! One of the more memorable moments happened when we spotted a flag none of us could place and realized it was the National Maori Flag after looking over the description.

This led into us looking up the history of the flag and learning more about world history!

It is really great to see Beckers from so many parts of the world come together in a contest like this, and teach us new things in the process.

Thanks for working so hard on these designs, mighties!

Can you spot your own design in any of these images!? There were quite a few, and not enough space on the table to lay them all out!

Since there were so many unique designs with varying themes and styles,

it always took quite a while to decide on the designs we wanted to share with our backers.

His comments and feedback were similar when we did the meeting for each week’s submissions.

Here are the three points which he brought up multiple times!

- It is good to see designs that are easy to understand at a glance, but oftentimes that leaves no room to surprise the players or user.
-
For Mighty No. 9 in particular, he feels like it is important for the designs to not only be interesting, but also a bit humorous in some way.

- Sometimes there were designs that were very cute or cool looking, but it was hard to tell what kind of style of attack they would use along with other aspects of the character. Making sure that aspect comes across is very important when designing characters for a game like Mighty No. 9.

That covers the most common feedback he had overall while looking over the designs!

Just like last time, we plan to print out the designs and cover our office walls with them.

Also, since we were unable to deliver this feedback in a timely manner as a result of

preparing the Special Demo for distribution, we have decided to extend Part 8 of KIMOKIMO CUP to October, 8th!

Keep sending in your new or revised designs so we can cover ALL of our office walls in robots!

Until next time, Mighties! (`_´)ゞ

Israeli Dual Bot

Early on, Mighty No. 24789 was asking about Israel. I decided to do my own take on an Israeli bot based on the legend of the golem, but with a dreidel as its controller instead of a scroll. A highly experimental combat duo, "Moreh" and "Yossel" can attack independently, but are at full strength together.

Second draft submission

MightyNo 50 (CLICK THE PICTURE AND IT WILL POP OUT :3)
Codename: Asterisk
Country: USA

Stats
Strength: 50
Defense: 15
Sp Attack: 5
Intelligence: 30

Basically, i wanted to make a Number based on the USA. Stars are commonly used in "American" Themes, so i wanted to be clever and use an Asterisk instead of a plain star. His strength and number is a reference to the 50 states, and how each state respresents a collective amount of fighting power; uniting us into one collective power. His defense is a bit low, and he has no special attacks because i invisioned this character to be a melee/speedster type of character, focosing on mid to close range combat with his "Photon Sabre" and his trusty "Photon Gun" The last symbol to tie in his american-esque theme, was the eagle on his head; a basic and true american symbol of freedom.

I decided to update the design from my first draft/submission while still keeping it based on American soldiers/marines. Now he is a bit more approachable and less threating when off the battlefield, while keeping his tough demeanor when in combat.
