I've already stated this on

I've already stated this on the Kickstarter page, but I'll be restating it here: I'd like a refund, please. I'm giving you 7 days until I look into initiating a chargeback.

Ok after I was reading all

Ok after I was reading all the stuff on her Twitter acc. and the fact that she deleted it afterwards I gotta say that this person got no spine and is a bit overconfident so it really leaves a bad mark on her quality as a community manager whether she's talented in designing or not. You should stay to the points which you are saying and not try to erase them just because getting the people to like you. That's lame don't you think?!

Trust in Comcept

I understand people some people may be a little weary of someone who has not played the MM games, but realistically that is by no means a reason to immediately react negatively. I, like many of you, grew up on the megaman games and want this project to succeed more than any video game I can think of in many years. But I completely trust in Comcept to create Mighty No. 9, and I believe you guys should too. If they really think Dana is suited to be in this position, then I trust them. It's only been a few days, but give her a chance. This is a game where the community actually has a say, but that can be a double-edged sword. Opposing ideas can be healthy, but negativity will be poison.

On a side note, Dana you really should try out some of the megaman games. I suggest starting with MM2 then MMX just to get a feel for both series.

Deleting Comments

Look if it was just because she hadn't played the games, fine. She would at least have told us, "Dina you need to understand this game better, let's go buy them on the e-shop and play them, take notes, and make sure you understand the appeal". But that's not what happened, instead she decides to delete ALL the comments on her twitter that critize her or even mention it.

...Um...What?

The **** is everyone talking about? "Pushing her agenda"? What bloody agenda? Or are you truther/proofer'ing it up and just TRYING to go out of your way to make her sound bad to yourself for god knows why? Also, who cares if she's played Mega Man or not? Apparently qualifications mean nothing and it's just video game history. Apparently all you need to make a successful game and community is having played Mega Man. I guess that means we should have the entire thing run by people like you guys. No, wait, nevermind. I cringe heavily at the thought. I'd rather not have my money go into something tanking horribly if that were to happen.

I for one see nothing wrong with this newcomer.

I think everyone is tired of

I think everyone is tired of social justice people forcing their idiology into every sphere of our lives. I mean, that is what they are always talking about: "Signal boosting; denouncing offensive jokes; confronting friends that disagree". Shit is pernicious.

I hope backlashes like this spread to the internet beyond.

A project for fans made by fans.

Ignoring the whole "agenda" topic, how can you possibly defend her not having played Mega Man? This entire project was promised as a group effort of Mega Man veterans and the incorporation of input from the community, and now we have someone who hasn't even played Mega Man joining it? I'm not saying she's a bad person, but she shouldn't be affecting the project that thousands of true die hard fans paid for if she has no experience with the inspiration. If you had to build a bridge, you'd want an architect, not a ornithologist, so why is someone who hasn't even played Mega Man working on a spiritual successor to that very same series? This is supposed to be a project for fans made by fans.

There are some that may think

There are some that may think she has an agenda or dislike her opinions, but most are wondering why and how she got this job. It isn't just about not playing Mega Man. She tried to remove evidence that she had ever made the statement and then tries to blend into the bunch by stating that she thinks Mega Man X is the best. Her defensive behavior and dishonesty are not fitting of someone in her position. I'm not saying she is a terrible person, nor do I dislike her. I just don't think she is qualified to be a community leader or to have much influence over the game.

ユーザー Mighty No. 41959 Tron Bonne の写真

Yep

The fact that she protected her account and then proceeded to delete her tweets is indicative of dishonesty and gives me no reason to respect a community leader that tries to cover their tracks. Just own up to it. That would be much cleaner.
ユーザー Mighty No. 41959 Tron Bonne の写真

Well...

It's like being CEO of a video game company when you don't even play video games. It's like being in any field you don't have any interest in. What are your intentions? Are you there just for money? How are you going to lead if you don't really care about what you're leading?

Having a community manager that has never played a Mega Man game makes that person empty and non-relatable. Do you even know why the Kickstarter for Mighty No. 9 got so much money? No, you don't because you never even played Mega Man and don't have the same love and passion for Keiji Inafune (& co.) and his ideas as we do.

I don't know anything about agenda. I just know that the idea of a person that has never devoted time to a Mega Man game even though she's now community manager for this website dedicated to a game whose creator is the father of Mega Man--that idea rubs me the wrong way.

But I am not the one who made the choice so I will trust whomever did. Clearly, she was qualified in some way.
ユーザー Mighty No. 5982 Gurren Wolf の写真

The Wrong Person

As many already know, and for those that don't, Dina has admitted that she has never played a Mega Man game before. That fact alone put me on edge when I heard she was made community manager. Now I see she has stated in her introduction that she thinks Mega Man X is the best Mega Man. This statement has tipped the balance of my unease.
I don't care about Dina's political views, social outlook, or any of that nonsense. I care only about her qualifications as a representative of the Mighty No. 9 backers and the Mega Man fans that have invested in this game. I wish to see Mega Man, and any of its incarnations, treated well. I'm sure most people feel the same way, especially the development team and those at Comcept. That is why I cannot stand behind Dina and request that someone else be brought into consideration for the position of community leader.
ユーザー Mighty No. 58108 の写真

Terrible

Terrible designer.
Admitted that never was a MM player.
Has a clear agenda.

Please, get this person off the team.
ユーザー Mighty No. 19650 Beardy の写真

Your opinion on this matters

Your opinion on this matters not
MM player or not, this is MN9
Her personal opinions don't matter

Look before you leap

Give me a refund

If this game is going to be managed by someone pushing their stupid agenda instead of the people I thought I was buying in to who cared about gameplay and things that matter in videogames then I want my money back.

Hi

Hello Dina, Can you confirm if being a CM is your only job at comcept or are you also designing characters for the game as some rumours on the net say?

Good day.

I have to agree. The face

I have to agree. The face looks kind of out of place on Mighty No. 9.

(I bet someone is going to say something like "your art isn't much better"....)

Niiice

Nice to know Im not the only FF8 fan left. On more serious note, welcome to the party! This is going to be a loooooong wait till launch....(yes I know its not really that long, but Iv'e been itching to play this game since he launched the kickstarter, haha!)
ユーザー Mighty No. 12203 Relytia の写真

Great tastes

Hi Dina! It was nice to read a bit about the new community manager. You've got great tastes. I'm a Zelda fanatic myself, always loved Tim Shafer as well, and agree that Mega Man X is up there (although I prefer the Zero series in terms of art design, characters, and story). Hope you enjoy your time at Comcept! :D

Can't wait for that Roll vote. It's so cool to see a developer actually involve the fans in the creation process as much as this, to the point of affecting such big aspects of the game itself. Talk about a momentous game to be a part of!
