Commemorative Communi-Day: A Blowout of Backer Brilliance!

Mighty Month marches on, Mighty Beckers!
Communi-Day is actually our longest, most hallowed tradition here in the regular Mighty updates: it was our first update after announcing our successful funding, and has been a constant reminder to us of the creativity, the generosity--the sheer AWESOMENESS of the Mighty community!
We’ve got some KIMO KIMO Cup art, some anniversary treats from the devs themselves, and of course, some choice pieces of fanart from our Mighty Community! But first, let’s start this month’s Communi-Day off right with our stars of the show: YOU!

FANART SHOW

Speaking of you Beckers, we had a surprise gift from one of your own: out of nowhere,Mighty No. 998 graced us with this INCREDIBLE present!
Talk about a labor of love! The team argued over whose desk these handmade statues would get to grace (decided by rock-paper-scissors, of course). And can you blame us? We’re always excited to see bits and pieces of the game out there in the real world!
And speaking of the real world… our Beckers have started to step it up a notch!
First, we got a surprise delivery at the Osaka office last week: a 3D-printed, hand-painted Mighty Gaim sculpture by Mighty No. 4668 Florian Bingart!
We've also found some awesome Mighty cosplay out there, starting with this stunning No. 3 some of us met at PAX Prime 2014!
The lovely @JewelMaiden as Mighty No. 3
YouTuber and loyal Becker Gaijin Goombah showed the world this custom Mighty No. 9 hoodie he commissioned on his twitter feed!
Even Mighty Gunvolt got some beaded love from @violetvalhalla!
Now then, back to the 2D world...

Keep it up, Mighties, we can’t wait to see what’s out there next!

COLLABORATION AND CAMARADERIE FROM THE COLOSSEUM!

We’ve also seen some impressive creations on the forum this month through the ongoing KIMO KIMO Cup contest threads! We saw our backers crafting robots from their own Mighty Numbers, and wanted to give you all a special spot in Mighty Month… and boy did you deliver!
For the past three weeks, the Mighties have been consistently churning out quality entries, even collaborating and helping each other improve their designs! Here’s a glimpse at the brilliant designs you’ve created:
Week 1, Ice and Fire theme:
HanNa by Mighty No. 46362 Putti
Brazilian Robot by Mighty No. 7447 Pontata
A collaboration between Mighty No. 250 Press Start, and Mighty No. 36731 KurowaSan (he designed the robot on the left)
Week 2, Wind and Water theme:
Orchid by Mighty No. 49244 Axl-fox
Atsa by Mighty No. 28101 Ian Scott Alexander

Week 3 (this week!), Lightning and Earth theme:
Neomi by Mighty No. 30565 Lienn
Cleo by Mighty No. 28631 Beckin09
How many times can we say it: you guys are too amazing! We have a whole other week to go after this one, so it’s not too late to join in on the fun!
FROM THE BIGGEST MIGHTY FANS, TO YOU!
For a year now, our fans have graced us with a huge amount of amazing backer fanart in all shapes and forms. As you can imagine, the members of the dev team are some of the biggest Mighty No. 9 fans themselves! So in celebration of Mighty Month, a couple of our friends at Inti Creates took the time to send some of their own fanart your way!
3D Modeler Terada rings in Mighty Month with his own rendition of Mighty No. 3!
Animator Matsuo brings the main gang together for this anniversary illustration!
Inti Creates Art Director Yuji Natsume recalls one of his favorite parts of the past year: the final Call contest!
We hope you take this small token of our gratitude, and keep the beautiful artwork coming! As you can see, it keeps the devs going strong and motivates them to make the best game we possibly can for you all!

FANTASTIC FEEDBACK AND REWARD REMINDERS!

Speaking of the game: thank you to all of our beta backers for the feedback! We’ve been compiling, translating and transmitting conundrum and kind word alike to send over to the devs!
Oh, and speaking of sending… don’t forget to send in your Fangamer reward survey before September 30th, 2014! If you haven’t gotten your survey yet, make sure you contact Fangamer at orders@fangamer.com. Only two more weeks to get your goods, don’t be late!
And thus ends another amazing Communi-Day! You know the drill, Mighties: shoot us your thoughts here in the comments, on twitter, or our official Facebook page!
Until next time, Mighties! (`_´)ゞ

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: BAND SAGA

This week at Tokyo Game Show we had a chance to try out musical action roguelikeBand Saga at the indie corner! Indie dev/musician Rekcahdam is a regular in the Tokyo/Kansai VG DJ scene, and his hybrid love letter to his two passions had us tapping our toes AND our buttons to the beat.
In this isometric action adventure, the music shapes the environments and can be modified to morph the world around you. The game has an FM sequencer you can whip out on the fly to create tunes that will mold gameplay and environment. That means every level, every enemy and every item is generated by music! You can add your own tracks, or simply stick to the incredible in-game soundtrack sporting tracks from heavy-hitters like Random aka Mega Ran!
Head over to their Kickstarter page for some tight samples and a full trailer! If you like what you see, feel free to chip in to this chiptune masterpiece in the making!
