Reward Update: Burning the Mid-May Oil

Mighty May continues, Beckers,

With porting work continuing steadily on the development front! Not much to say on that side, so this time around we’ve got a quick reward update, including an important notice about the Mighty No. 9 beta!

QUICK ON THE DRAW

Everyone on the Mighty team has a hand in both development and rewards side of the project, including the big man himself!

Among the higher level rewards were signed, original sketches by Keiji Inafune. These ended up being so popular we added an additional tier to the Kickstarter page! Finishing all of these one-of-a-kind collector’s items was easier said than done, of course, as INAFKING himself can attest to.

Over 250 sketches… thanks to our boss man for all of the hard work--and of course, to all of our awesome sketch-level Beckers for your support!

SEE YA LATER, MIGHTY BETA

Speaking of the porting process, we’ve finally gotten to the point where we can’t progress any further with debug and ROM testing while the Steam beta is still running. That’s why we’ll be discontinuing the Mighty No. 9 beta on Wednesday, May 20th. Now’s your last chance for you beta Beckers to play through No. 2, No. 3 and No. 5 stages, so if you haven’t taken advantage of your reward now’s the time!

That’s all for this update! Let us know what you think of the sketch video--and anything you want to see in upcoming updates--in the comments below, on the forums, Facebook, or twitter!

Until next time, Mighties!(`_´)ゞ

Wow, You know he has a talent

Wow, You know he has a talent when he can consistantly draw that design over and over and over again. So cool! I got a lot of respect for Inafune-san. He is the inafKING!!

MN 9 enthusiast

Sketchin' away there! :)

I wish I had been able to play the MN 9 beta, but I got a mac so I (knowingly) sat throught this. But I have faith in the team. Lookin extremely forward to getting my hands on the game when things are finished.

So fun to be a part of a project that is a spiritual successor to Mega Man, my all-time favourite game series ever.

Things look promising, for sure. I really like the music so far.

Sad to see the beta go. Steam

Sad to see the beta go. Steam does support versioning and multiple private betas but there are other reasons it's easier to drop its support approaching crunch time.

Would have preferred a little more warning but still got in a last round with Battalion and my favourite stage in Military Base. Good times.

Here's to hoping they fix that dash-not-absorbing bug!

The man is a Machine!

Wow that's alot of drawing! I don't think I can ever do that myself. I would have died on the 20th drawing of the same thing lol.

Great Job Inafune-san! The Backers will be very pleased.

Wait, what? Why does the beta

Wait, what? Why does the beta have to end? It doesn't seem to make sense, as I thought you worked on another verison of the game, and made a copy of your progress to distribute as the beta?
